The Marcon Institute’s core activity is to prepare and deploy student scholars, the Marcon Fellows, who show dedication to research that influences perspectives, practices, and policies on racial justice.

The Marcon Institute is currently recruiting for our 2025 Fellows.  Students selected as Marcon Fellows will spend the summer working on faculty-led projects in the areas of social justice, race, and racism and earn a $4,000 research stipend.

Even if you don't have a project idea, the Institute is focusing on certain initiatives with ongoing projects.  Interested students are encouraged to drop in to workshop their ideas with Dr. Ochs and former fellows on Friday, April 25, from 11 am to 5 pm in The LTS Circle.  Please note that you do not need to meet with her to apply.

To apply, please submit a short video elevator pitch (2 minutes or less) including a thesis, statement, research question and/or intervention, art project, healing program, etc. to marconinst@lehigh.edu no later than April 30th.

Please do not hesitate to email marconinst@lehigh.edu with any questions.
